Majid Majidi’s ‘Beyond the Clouds’ hits Iran home market

Iran-India coproduction ‘Beyond the Clouds’ has hit the domestic home market of entertainment in Iran.

Directed by Iranian acclaimed filmmaker Majid Majidi, ‘Beyond the Clouds’, which was filmed in India in 2017, revolves around the life of a young boy, Amir, and his sister, Tara, in Mumbai.

When on the run from the cops, Amir finds his estranged sister, who, in a bid to protect her brother, lands in jail. Their entire lives are clouded by despair when, unexpectedly, the light shines on them from beyond the clouds.

The film has gone on screen at some national and international cinematic events, including the 36th Fajr International Film Festival in Iran and the 3rd Slemani International Film Festival in Iraqi Kurdistan region.
